Phobia reduction

fearA phobia is an extreme or irrational fear of or aversion to something.  Phobias come in all sorts of shapes and sizes, ranging from a fear of flying to a fear a spiders (arachnophobia) or a fear of leaving your home (agoraphobia).  Many people with phobias are consciously aware that their phobia is irrational however it is the unconscious mind that maintains and further fuels the phobia.

Depending on your specific phobia and any possible causes, various different therapeutic techniques can be used to help you eliminate your phobia.  Very often a combination NLP and hypnotherapy can give almost immediate and lasting results.  In some cases CBT may also be useful in rationally reducing a phobia.

Here are just a few examples of phobias that can be managed with therapy:

  • Fear of flying
  • Dental anxiety
  • Fear of spiders
  • Fear of snakes
  • Fear of heights
